That gap is not padding. Skin needs time to recover between sittings, and going more often does not speed anything up.
What to expect afterwards
Most people notice mild redness and a tight feeling for a day or so. Light flaking around days three to five is common with the more superficial peels, and it settles on its own. Picking at it is how marks get left behind.
Two rules matter more than the rest: daily sun protection, because freshly peeled skin is more reactive to UV, and no first-time peel in the fortnight before an event. If there is a wedding or a shoot in the diary, start months ahead rather than weeks.
Who a peel may not suit
Peels are not right for everyone. Active skin infection or inflammation in the area, pregnancy and breastfeeding, recent isotretinoin use, a tendency to keloid scarring, and some photosensitising medications are all reasons a clinician may advise waiting, or advise against it.
On deeper Indian skin tones there is a further consideration. Too aggressive a peel, or inadequate sun protection afterwards, can leave pigmentation that is harder to settle than whatever was being treated. This is precisely why the assessment comes before the peel, and why a clinician willing to say not this, not yet is worth more than a discount.
